This day is broken into 2 blogs - travel and Paris. Saturday started with a 5:30 wakeup call and an early ride to the airport. We took off at 8:50 AM and 5 uneventful hours later landed in Montreal. After an hour layover, we boarded the same plane (a Boeing 767) for Paris.
On this flight there was a young woman with an infant, a 3 year old and her mother. The Air Canada flight attendent went to great lengths to accomodate them, but the 3 year old kept howling and the young woman kept doing stupid things in return, such as passing the baby across the aisle to Grandma on takeoff!
They eventually quieted down and we settled into the 7 hour flight. We both tried to sleep but with limited success. Upon arriving, we got our luggage, had our passsports stamped and were punted out the door. A bit lax compared to dealing with US Customs on other trips.
We lucked into finding the Air France bus into Paris,and were dropped off a block away from our hotel at 9:00 AM Sunday.
